Photo tip for November...
Read your manual. It may not the most thrilling of reads but you can only take better photos knowing all the functions of your camera. It will tell you exactly what your camera is and isn't capable of and you might find yourself really surprised at just what it can do. Even the most basic digital point and shoot usually has a lot of functions such as white balance control that will alter how your photos look. You will also find out things such as your cameras focal length ( how far or close you have to be to an object to get a clear photo) So grab yourself a cuppa and sit down and read all you can.

We're excited...
To be one of the first stores in Australia to stock the new range of 'Under the sun' papers from Scrapbooking Australia. Tanya and Sue (me) had a quick trip to Adelaide yesterday to attend a retailers workshop and an exclusive preview of the products, and let me say they are gorgeous. So bright and fresh, very summery.
The following are a few samples and sample layouts from the line, the colors don't look as good on the web but take our word for it they are lovely, so come in and have a look.

Welcome
O.K. we've finally been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. It's amazing it wasn't that long ago that we'd never even heard of a blog and now here we are, experimently typing into our very first... So let us introduce ourselves, we're Tanya, Donna and Sue of the Scrap'n'Patch, a store in rural South Australia dedicated to scrapbooking, card making and stamping. Our doors have been open for over a year now with a move a couple of months ago into bigger, brighter premises, something I wouldn't recomend doing too often, especially as we had our 8 kids in tow as we moved. They became quite good at painting and lifting. Who said child labour was a thing of the past?LOL. Of course our husbands were the big hero's of the shift, even putting up a wall within an hours notice. (Check out our stamp wall when you're in next, quite snazzy). We sell products from such suppliers as printblocks, Aussiescrapsource, stampit rubber stamps, scrapbooking Australia and hero arts, as well as holding regular classes ranging from beginners to advanced techniques and we also have regular kids classes which are extrememly popular.
